Description

The woods take on a dark & somewhat spooky light as another day nears its end. We are surrounded by woods in our little area of the world. This Maine winter night is still & cold - It's amazing how quiet can be so loud.
Funny thing about the quiet is I know deer are near by. Maybe they are bedded down - In a huddle to keep warm. By morning they'll have crossed the field - I call it the deer highway - and I'd have to say, their routine is pretty obvious.
Lots of other wildlife in these woods - and as much as the dark light of the woods is spooky cool - I am now home, safe & warm - and right now that is just fine by me!
