I have some incredible artwork on my arm including two large sunflower tattoos.They are a little more the norm than Sunflower Play - but I'm thinking maybe my next tattoo will be my own design, my colors - my work.
My brother (he was covered in tattoos) got me my first tattoo when I turned 40. Fifteen years later I started a sleeve, in memory of my brother Jeff. He was an addict who exchanged a heroin needle for a tattoo needle - and for almost 20 years, he stayed clean.
I'm saving up for my next tattoo - It's important to me to finish this sleeve. I love the artwork I am wearing - truly it is a gift from one artist to another. My Gibson - the sunflowers, all my tattoos are a show of strength, they share a blast of color when I need it most, remind me there is always hope - and how to deal with loss by dealing with life, one day at a time.
